Nurse on the Run turns ONE!
Happy blogiversary to me!! One year ago today, I ventured into the blog world with this fantastic Chicago Marathon recap. I don’t quite remember when I started reading running blogs, but I really liked how connected people seemed, even across the country! The only thing runners like more than running is talking about running, so a blog about running sounded like a pretty good idea to me! I’m happy to be here and so glad I joined the blog world. 
Having all the support from all of you has been fantastic through this past year, whether it was in marathon training, job searching, moving halfway across the country, learning how to survive as a nurse, or getting through my first injury. Everyone is so positive and has given me great motivation and advice throughout the year. And of course I love hearing about bloggers adventures in running!
Let’s take a quite stroll down memory lane here, just to see how far we’ve come!
- My first post – a Chicago Marathon 2007 recap!
- I graduated from nursing school!! What a year that was…
- I went on a fabulous wonderful amazing cruise with the Rocket Scientist…ahhh warmth…
- ER ended. I shed a few tears.
- I unveiled my running story
- I QUALIFITED FOR BOSTON!!!! Third time’s the charm.
- Oh, and the day before the marathon, I got a job as a nurse. Then I had a week to move 650 miles east.
- I bought a car.
- Then I drove it east and attempted to settle into my new life.
- Started my new job as a nurse! Talk about a deer in the headlights…
- Hit the quarter-century mark…happy birthday to me!
- I lost it at work. Repeatedly.
- Realized I should be a cupcake blogger.
- Attended the Healthy Living Summit!!
- I sustained my first injury…IT Band Syndrome.
- Now I’m making my comeback!
What a whirlwind it has been! I transformed from a running nursing student to a Boston-qualified registered nurse! Who knows what the next year will bring, but it’s been awesome sharing it with all of you. I’m inspired by all of you on a daily basis, and I love that no matter what I’m going through, I have someone to share it with. Thank you for sharing this past year with me, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Yay to the blog birthday! It was great seeing all of those past posts I never saw since I didn’t start reading until summer. Congrats on your ‘long’ 8 miles! You’ll do fine in Philadelphia. You and me BOTH wish this weather would stick around! Especially for the 22nd!
