Coaching

Greetings!  If you clicked over to this page, you’re either curious or looking for a coach…or both!  In September 2011, I became an RRCA Certified Running Coach, and I’m excited to enter into this new sector of the running world.  I’ve been running myself for about 15 years with my main focus for the past five years being on the marathon.  However, I’ve helped friends train for anything from their first 5k to their first marathon, so I have experience on a variety of distances!  I love helping people reach new goals and am looking forward to helping you reach yours!

What I Offer

If you are local to NYC, we can set up in-person coaching, but otherwise the internet brings us all closer!  Here’s what you can expect:

Cost:  $50 per month includes:

  • Initial consultation, either in person, via the phone, or online, to review your goals, background, injury history, current fitness, etc.
  • A training plan customized for you, your goals, and your lifestyle.
  • Access to me for any questions, support, or changes to your training plan as needed.  Also for race day tips or nutrition advice.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at susan@susanruns.com!  I look forward to working with you!

I am wanting to start training in January for a half marathon (definately) and a marathon (possibly if time allows). I am curious for your opinion. I am finishing up nursing school and hoping to go back for my bsn in the fall so I don’t know how that factors into it. I also work night shift 2 sometimes 3 nights a week (mostly 12 hr weekends). I have run 2 previous half marathons, the most recent being in November and my time was 2:19. Im hoping to break 2 hours but since I just started running one day I’m not sure how to train to be faster. Do you think I have the time for a full marathon or should I stick with the half until graduation? Do you think you can help me be faster (bc I really am pretty slow)?

Besides that, I hope you are enjoying day shift and did well on the race.

    Have a great December!
    Alexis
